We Need Shepherds...
We live in a time in which so many people are going astray.
They are turning away from God because they do not know the Word of God. They need help… they need shepherds!
One of the main roles of a shepherd is to FEED THE FLOCK!
But much like the days of Ezekiel, shepherds have lost focus of their calling. So, God instructed Ezekiel to prophesy against the shepherds who have “strayed” from their calling…
(Ezekiel 34:2): “Son of man, prophesy against the shepherds of Israel, prophesy and say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord God to the shepherds: “Woe to the shepherds of Israel who feed themselves! - Should not the shepherds feed the flocks?
(Jeremiah 3:15): And I will give your shepherds according to My heart, who will feed you with knowledge and understanding
(Jeremiah 23:4): “I will set up shepherds over them who will feed them; and they shall fear no more, nor be dismayed, nor shall they be lacking,” says the Lord.
(I Peter 5:2-4): Shepherd the flock of God which is among you, serving as overseers, not by compulsion but willingly, not for dishonest gain but eagerly; 3 nor as being lords over those entrusted to you, but being examples to the flock; 4 and when the Chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the crown of glory that does not fade away.
(Ephesians 4:11-12): And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, 12 for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ.
Shepherds are Pastors, who are to Learn from, Depend upon and Follow our Chief Shepherd, JESUS CHRIST (John 10:11-14).

- Shepherds are to be a expression of God’s Loves who will PRESENT “God’s Word”
(Jeremiah 23:4): “I will set up shepherds over them who will feed them; and they shall fear no more, nor be dismayed, nor shall they be lacking,” says the Lord.
- Shepherds are to REMOVE FEAR by distributing “God’s Word” faithfully!
- Shepherds are to be AMONG the people, serving as an EXAMPLES for the flock to follow.
(Ephesians 4:11-12): And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, 12 for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ.
- Shepherds are to “Equip” and “Edify” the body of Christ!
